Two-in-One Folded Stool Inspired by Eastern Beauty

The Folded Window Pattern stool draws inspiration from the intricate patterns found in traditional eastern curved window lattice. One surface of the stool features the traditional window frame pattern, while the legs of the other stool mimic the shallow shape of an eastern window. The chosen materials and shapes are a tribute to the beautiful eastern window, showcasing its traditional beauty.

What sets this design apart is its ability to fold, making it perfect for small living spaces in crowded cities. Unlike typical folding furniture, which often lacks aesthetic appeal, the Folded Window Pattern stool combines functionality with traditional eastern style. It can be folded in two different ways, serving as both a side table and a stool. This versatility allows it to seamlessly blend into modern city environments while still meeting the aesthetic standards of eastern design.

The stools are crafted from natural wood, specifically walnut and elm. The entire structure is meticulously assembled using detailed and skillful mortise joints, ensuring a higher quality and longer lifespan compared to flat-style furniture. Product dimensions for the Folded Window Pattern stool are as follows: Width 35mm, Depth 35mm, and Height 39mm. These compact dimensions make it ideal for small living spaces without compromising on style or functionality.

The project began in February 2018 and was completed in June 2018 in China. Throughout the design process, the main challenge was incorporating the traditional window pattern into the stool's structure. The intricate nature of the pattern required careful consideration of the stool's connections and overall stability.

The Folded Window Pattern stool has received recognition for its design excellence. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category in 2019. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
